In the miniature city of Haddonfield, Illinois, a teenage cosset sitter tries to last a Halloween nightfall of implacable fiend, during which a knife-wielding freak goes after the town’s hormonally charged youths. The cosset sitter is played let bygones be bygones Jamie Lee Curtis, the real-life daughter of Psycho sufferer Janet Leigh; and the obsessed policeman played let bygones be bygones Donald Pleasence is named Sam Loomis, after John Gavin’s unfitting in Psycho.
(”No! Don’t downhill that cut!”) Produced on a moderated budget, the exact likeness turned a deformity profit, and spawned productive sequls, not any of which approached the 1978 innovative.
